Your the Magic: Why you shouldn’t hand everything over to AI
Ok, there's an elephant in the room... can you guess what it is?
AI.
Now, don’t get me wrong—AI is an incredible tool. It can help with so many things: organizing your life, writing blogs, generating recipes (though I’m not totally sold on that one), even drafting a lovely thank-you email. We’re living in a time where technology is moving fast, and AI is moving even faster. It’s important to keep up so we’re not left behind.
BUT—let’s not forget this:
God put us here with everything we need to thrive.
Here’s what I mean: People are now using AI to do everything—from writing their blogs to handling all the creative parts of their business. And while that might be tempting, I believe we were each born with something far greater than a chatbot: creativity.
Now maybe you’re thinking, “I’m not creative. I can’t paint, I can’t draw, I’m not writing a novel, and I definitely can’t do anything Martha Stewart does.”
I get it. I used to think that way too.
But here’s the truth—we all have creativity in our own unique ways. No, I can’t paint or draw either. But I can design and lead a beautiful yoga class. I can get creative in the kitchen when I’m missing ingredients and still whip up something fantastic.
You want to know why?
Because creativity runs through our veins.
We were born from a creative force—I call that force God. Just look around at the wonder of nature, the Earth, and everything in it. That same creative spark lives in you. It means you can think on your feet, have bright ideas, and make something meaningful out of what you’ve been given.
So why are we handing all of our creative tasks over to AI?
Honestly, I think it’s because it’s fast and easy.
But here’s the thing—it’s not you.
And I’m not here to pretend I’m above using AI. I actually use it all the time—to clean up my writing, fix my punctuation, and help me make sure my thoughts are clear. I write all my own blogs and posts, but I use AI like a second pair of eyes. That’s it.
What I don’t do is hand over my creativity.
AI doesn’t design my yoga classes.
That joy? That process? It comes from me—from moving my own body on the mat, from the sweat, the laughter, the frustration, the falling down, the breakthroughs. That is real. That’s mine.
And you were born brilliant, too. So use it.
Even if it takes longer. Even if all you can get out is one sentence—let that sentence be yours. Come back to it. Add the next one. Let it flow in its own time.
Because what people really want from you isn’t perfection. It’s you.
They want your voice, your quirky thoughts, your perspective. They want a taste of you.
So don’t hold back because you think you don’t have anything to offer. You do.
You just have to start.
But over time, that truth gets covered up by our everyday mental habits, or vṛttis—things like overthinking, comparison, and self-doubt. When we step onto the mat, we’re not just stretching muscles; we’re clearing away those blocks and waking up prāṇa—our life force. This energy flows through nāḍīs, or subtle channels in the body, and when we engage in practices like breathwork (prāṇāyāma), mindful movement (āsana), and surrender (īśvara-praṇidhāna), we tap back into our natural state of creativity. It's not something we have to force or figure out—it rises up from within, like a river remembering its way home. When we connect with that inner spark, creativity becomes more than a task—it becomes a sacred, joyful expression of the divine moving through us.
