Waiting For Baggage (Detox Friendly and Delicious Recipe Inside)

I was at the airport baggage claim the other day waiting for my baggage you arrive. I looked around as everyone was watching the conveyor belt waiting for their baggage and staring at the hole where the suitcases would appear.

It got me to wonder how many people are looking at the conveyor belt of life waiting for life to happen instead of making it happen.

When I saw the movie The Secret I was floored by the idea that we can imagine and visualize what we desire in life and get it. So that’s what I did. I visualized and waited and waited and waited and ziltch, nada, nothing. I got nothing.

I was waiting for a miracle but forgot to put myself in the miracle. I didn’t take action after requesting my desire.

I had an ah-ha moment in a yoga class when my favorite teacher and mentor Dana Flynn said, “ You can’t hope for a boyfriend and then think he’s going to fall out of the sky in your lap while you’re sitting down meditating. You have to go and be out in order to meet him.” She laughed with her funny giggle as my heart sank.

Wow…that is what I’d been doing…mediating and wishing upon a star for my beloved to show up while not showing up in the world.

Don’t wait for Monday to start eating healthy. Don’t wait to get your healthy lifestyle in gear until the cookies you baked are eaten. Throw them out and start now.

Procrastination never wins. It keeps you in the hamster wheel of life. Don’t wait for your baggage to come around on the conveyor belt of life…go get started now!

Here’s a zinger… taking action is the catalyst for your desire to manifest.

So get off the couch and make a meal plan for the week. The more you plan for your health, wellness and weight loss goals, the more room you have for spontaneity of life.

Fresh Lemon Blueberry Bowl

Serves 2

2 cups fresh blueberries

2 tablespoons ground flax seeds

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons unsweetened, shredded coconut

MIX THE INGREDIENTS: Place your blueberries in a bowl. Top with ground flax seeds, lemon juice, honey, and shredded coconut.
